Get Involved

Lend your time, your funding, or your community.

Spark Nucleus exists because people show up. Whether you're an engineer who can mentor, a funder who can sponsor a cohort, a nonprofit that needs technical help, or a school looking to bring a workshop to your students, there's a way to plug in.

Partner With Us

Co-deliver programs, refer participants, or build a longer-term partnership across multiple cohorts. We work with employers, schools, community organizations, and fellow nonprofits.

  • Co-design a program with your community in mind.
  • Provide mentors, internships, or pathways into first roles.
  • Refer participants from communities we'd like to reach more deeply.

Start a conversation at engage@sparknucleus.org. The Partners page has more detail on the shapes a partnership can take.

Volunteer as a Mentor

The Black Youth Tech Mentorship Network and our skills accelerators both run on volunteer engineering time. If you've done the work and can give a few hours a month to a youth or early-career engineer who needs guidance, we'd love to hear from you.

  • One-on-one mentorship: six-month engagements with a single mentee.
  • Cohort office hours: drop-in sessions for accelerator participants.
  • Workshop instructors and guest speakers for community sessions.

Email engage@sparknucleus.org with a short note about your background and the kind of mentorship you'd like to offer.

Request Technology Support

If your nonprofit, community organization, or small business needs engineering capacity, cloud migration, security review, automation, AI adoption, we may be able to help through our Digital Transformation Support program.

  • Free or low-cost engineering work delivered as a scoped engagement.
  • Clear handover so your team can run what we build without us.
  • Priority for organizations serving underrepresented communities.

Send a short email to engage@sparknucleus.org describing your organization, the specific problem you'd like help with, and what a successful outcome would look like.

Bring a Workshop to Your Community

Host an AI readiness, cybersecurity, or cloud and DevOps workshop for your students, members, or community. We bring the curriculum, instructors, and materials.

  • Single-session workshops (90 minutes to a half-day).
  • Multi-week learning circles co-delivered with your staff.
  • Custom sessions for specific audiences (educators, frontline workers, jobseekers).

To host a workshop, email engage@sparknucleus.org with the audience, approximate size, topic of interest, and a rough timeframe.

One inbox for everything

Partnership, sponsorship, mentorship, support, workshops, all go to the same place.

The team reads and responds personally. The more specific the note, the more useful we can be in return.
